My EndNote Web toolbar is not responding

A few people have reported a problem where their EndNote Web toolbar is not working. Clicking on a button does not produce an error message, but nothing happens.  This may be due to other programs (or add-ins) installed in Word which stop the toolbar from working properly.

If this happens, close Word, open up Windows Explorer and go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Startup and delete any add-ins which might be causing a problem. Add-ins known to cause a conflict include the following:

• DYMOWordAddin.dot
• SnagIt
• Copernic Agent
• Adobe/Macromedia FlashPaper
• Adobe Contribute C3
• ScanSoft/Nuance PaperPort or PDF Create!
• MSWordXML Toolbar.dot
• EZPhoto
• Workshare
• Redaction.dot
