A great way of exploring shapes, patterns and different types of symmetry, and very kinaethetic.
In the second part of this task we were given a tesselation pattern and asked to ascertain the ratio of squares to triangles in the pattern. It was interesting to see different people's approaches to this. The most efficient method was to distinguish the part of the pattern which did repeat - which I found quite difficult so pick out visually. It was definitely more efficient than my method of constructing a two dimensional arithmetic progression and taking limits! What can I say...I like algebra.
