A strange coincidence…

DucklingLast night I was on a date, and found out that the guys parents have the same name as my old pet ducks from when I was about 8 years old – Rosie and Robert.

This isn't Rosie or Robert – it's just a cute duckling.

Mucky Mabel

I was sitting at my desk yesterday, quietly doing some work and a random thought popped into my head. I suddenly remembered a great book that I used to have as a child….

Does anybody else remember Mucky Mabel? I can remember the words of the first couple of pages but I get stuck after that…

"This is the tale of Mucky Mabel, who had no manners at the table, who blew her nose on the serviette and made the table cloth all wet. She spat the grissle from her meat so far it travelled twenty feet…..."

Sounds a bit random now, but it was great at the time!

About me

My name is Ellie Lovell and I am the Web Editor in the Communications Office at the University of Warwick.

I started this blog in August 2005 when I started working at the University and have learnt a lot from it. I don’t update it so much anymore (I have been unfaithful to WarwickBlogs) but I hope you enjoy what is here…
