Being nosy…

Writing about web page http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/about/webcam/

I love the Warwick webcam…

When I am sat at my computer doing work in University House, I can look out onto the piazza and see what everyone is doing…

It’s great when something like One World Week or Graduation is on as there are always people milling around, and its lovely at about 5pm just as dusk sets in. It’s a nice reminder that we all work on an active campus and when you don’t have much of a window view in your office, it’s nice to have a window onto the piazza.

Next time you’re passing – give me a wave!

Can you get a web-cam on your PC so we can all look back at you:-)

I don’t think anyone would really want to do that! I would probably scare small children!

  3. Steve: I could attach a web cam to my PC and point it at Ellie, would that do? Waits for Ellie to spot this comment

Sounds perfect. Could we arrange for the image to be projected onto one of large blank walls on the side of the Arts Centre, so Ellie really would be looking down on the Piazza. Very Big Sister…

And for genuinely child-scaring moments, you could occasionally point it at Peter, too:-)

Well well, resorting to the webcam for entertainment. First summer I was at Warwick Lucy (the other temp) and I used to watch the webcam for amusement. Course in the summer there’s absolutely nothing to look at, but nevermind.

About me

My name is Ellie Lovell and I am the Web Editor in the Communications Office at the University of Warwick.

I started this blog in August 2005 when I started working at the University and have learnt a lot from it. I don’t update it so much anymore (I have been unfaithful to WarwickBlogs) but I hope you enjoy what is here…
