The Joy of Data Analysis
Anyone that has ever done a science project that generates a lot of data will understand when I say "you don't want to have to manually analyse your data". Unfortunately, the current status of my analysis coding, (I know not completely manually), will recognise whether a curve fits or not. This, however, does not mean that it will differentiate between a flat line or the curve that it is actually meant to be.It will not even recognise the difference between something that is conductive i.e. has a non zero current; and the noise that appears when this is not the case. Whilst this is a relatively simple thing to code, knowing my luck, it will take longer to debug, than just analyse the data by hand, or eye as the case may be.
In consequence, I have 12 GB of data to manually check.
7 GB down, 5 to go, wish me luck and endless patience.
