Nerves and Blogging

I must say i'm disappointed by the lack of funny dreams that were(n't) posted in the last comments section. Thought that would be a good talking point, I did. Oh well, that's what exam time does to you. I should know, I had 2 exams over a week ago and my last one is tomorrow. I thought i'd be able to chill out over the past week but tomorrow's exam has been constantly on the brain. Now it is upon me and i'm pooing myself, but after that it's red rover as the cockney's say. Maybe my blogging will pick up pace from here on in, but it won't if there's no regular audience participation. In other words, comment like crazy! Here's a good starting point: what did you make of the new Star Wars film? I'm a fan…

Star Wars was satisfactory, it did the job. It was not bad, nor was it particularly good. However, 2 bits that could easily have been sorted out were when darth Vader lets out a "Nooooooooooooooooo" which is hilarious, not the desired response im sure. Second, why did Jar Jar Binks have to appear!!!!! Why ignore him for the whole film and then put him in at the end!!!!!!!???? GRRRRRR

More excited by Sin City though, that looks ace.

I'm not sure if I can be arsed with the new Star Wars film, considering the last one disappointed me so.

I do like the theory about the new star wars being a piece of comtemporary british social realism, reflecting the issues surrounding a dictatorial personality at the head of government, a multicultural society, and most significantly, the negative psycological affect of hoody-wearing on previously reasonable individuals, notably Palpitane (if that's what he was called) and Anakin Skywalker. I think it could in fact be prophetic, i think in ten years time bluewater will be banning kids walking round in full scale robotic body armour and helmet/snorkel equipment.

Quite simply there will not be a better action film all year than star wars. Job done.

  6. The best bit in The Revenge of the Sith for me, was when General Grievous took out his 4 lightsabers! "Shit, Fuck, Shit, Fuck!" ace!

Have you seen Sin City or Batman Begins yet? Matt was right to hold back judgement. I really enjoyed Episode III - I stand by it as a fitting end to the prequel series – but these films totally blow RotS out of the water for action. Mr and Mrs Smith was also a damn good action flick… Episode III was unlucky to be followed by releases as good as these, but imagine what we'd be saying if it had come out AFTER these films.

To be honest, I'm getting a bit worried about this summer's releases; it looks like we've had all our treats in the space of of a couple of weeks. Apart from War of the Worlds, I can't see many decent blockbusters on the horizon. Fantastic Four looks wank and the less said about The Cave and Stealth the better.

Maybe The Island will be good. I doubt that we'll get anything within spitting distance of Sin City or Batman though.
