Bye Jane

Tomorrow marked the last day of work at the Warwick Business School for Jane Varley. She had been acting as programme manager of the Doctoral Programme for the last two and a half years. During that time she always had time to listen to our problems, however small and trivial, sometimes not even related to our studies. It was not just listening, she would reply promptly to any email queries - the hallmark of good customer service.

She personally helped me a lot with my applications for my studentship and the part time teaching post before that and I will always be indepted to her. Almost everyone I talked to feel sad she's leaving. Just learnt that someone new is coming to replace her and that guy definitely has some big shoes to fit into.

Wish you all the best Jane.
