The truth

Despite the wild rumours circulating around the blogs I did not in fact seduce any gardeners last night. Instead I went along to the IGDA christmas party and got very drunk thanks to Alias putting a ton of money behind the bar slashing all drinks to 50p each. I met a whole group of ace game designing people and played lots of great party games on the huge array of consoles they had there. I also performed my regular feat of meeting someone who I first knew through the internet.

Donkey Konga is great.

They were running a raffle to win a Gameboy Dual Screen which I didn't win. This, and the alcohol made me stay on a bit too long and I missed the bus home, bugger, luckily I had heard rumours of a friend partying in Leamington and in my drunken state I managed to find them in a bar with no sign which I had never been to before. Upon drunkenly rambling my situation to them I was able to secure a sleeping place for the evening.

In a move, that can only be explained by the presence of copious alcohol, the action then moved to the seedy ambience of Mirage where I drunkenly sang/yelled along to all the cheese classics and grooved in my inimitable style to 'the beats'. For some strange reason they lock you into Mirage if you stay too long which confused me completely and I wondered around looking for an escape route for ages, before finally bursting through a fire escape.

Just time for chips, falling off a swing and talking about my love of Nietzsche before I fell asleep in a drunken heap.

Mmm.. Tired. Off to see Garden State in a few hours.
