About me

I am a 23 year old history student, currently studying in the first year of my Phd, which is about alcohol, literature and national identity in nineteenth century Mexico. Alcohol and literature also feature regularly and pleasureably in my wider life as well, although I don’t feel strongly nationalistic despite (or perhaps because of) growing up in the highly partisan Northern Ireland.
I also play the viola, I love to travel, listen to folky-rock style music and Pink Floyd, watch films and eat popcorn, and I’m afraid of spiders. I harbour a secret dream to live The Good Life – that is, the twee 1970’s TV show about self-sufficiency.
