I feel the need….

Writing about web page

…the need to blog about the Warwick Real Ale Festival.

Lads, moving to the Cooler was an excellent idea. It now really feels like a festival. Excellent.

I handed in my voting form yesterday, but for the record my favourite beers of the fest were:

1. Cains Victorian Ale (I just have a note on my programme which says "Hell Yes".)
2. Enville Saaz (Cask lager)
3. Gales Festival Mild (

But this festival I found that I was actually liking more of the ales I tried than I have been at other festivals recently. I don't know if this is because my tastes have matured or if Warwick just had a damn good selection this year.

Finally of course, I was playing with Brasssoc at the 'Last Night of the Fest'. All I can say is that I'm glad we were so thorougly apprecitated (and thanks to those who came up and told us that, it makes the job all the more worthwhile!).

It’s that time of year again! Any news on the festival? The website seems to still be under construction for 2007…
