Harsh sentence, but let's hope spammers start learning from this... I highly doubt it though!

It disgusts me when people are given long sentences merely to make an example of them rather than as a measure of the crime.

The author of the Slashdot article seems to think that it's a fitting sentence, which suggests that they're a moron.

The length of that sentence is obscene, that they're going to jail at all is ridiculous.
