NUA
Also known as, what I did last weekend. NUA stands for Northern Universities Association (which Warwick does qualify as, after much argument on the basis of we're not southern), and is a weekend of bell-ringing and drunkenness, held this year in Sheffield. The whole idea of the weekend is to go round lots of churches ringing bells, and there are also two competitions, one for ringing and one for drinking.
How did Warwick do, you may wonder. Well, we came 4th in the striking competition (out of 5, but you don't need to say that bit) behind Birmingham, Sheffield and Leeds, and ahead of Nottingham. I'm not sure where we came in the drinking competition, but it wasn't first and it wasn't last, as Sheffield took both those places after entering two teams. We'll try and do better next year when it's in Manchester.
Also, less than a day after winning, Birmingham left the trophy in the pub on Sunday lunchtime and can't find it. Fools.
