Roadworks…

The trench that they’ve just dug across the University ring road, by the boiler house, has really not been very well filled in. It isn’t nice to cycle across. I hope they’re planning on coming back to finish the job properly…

    And now the trench runs across the path from the ring road to University House, and is even more badly filled in there. I really, really hope they’re planning on finishing it properly…

    This trench is for an underground helium recovery line running from Millburn House to Physics. The ring road and University House access crossing have only temporarily been backfilled. The permanent reinstatement works will commence upon commissioning of the line. The Utiliities Project Engineer, Andy Leeson, is overseeing the project.

    Both of these trenches seem to have been properly filled now, which is a vast improvement!
