Hurrah for immune systems (at last)

Well I hope I'm not pre-empting things, but yesterday and today I've finally been feeling quite a bit better. I still have a bit of a cough, but apart from that I'm pretty much back to normal yay! I no longer even need to be wrapped in a duvet to stop shivering. Considering I first went down with illness last tuesday, which got progressively worse until by thursday I really shouldn't have gotten out of bed (but went to lectures anyway because I'm that sad), I guess it's about bloody time. Some important things I've learnt:

  • Benylin is absolutely useless.
  • Vicks is a miracle substance, as is Lemsip if you can stand taking it, but really has to be in hot drink and not capsule form.
  • You really can be sick enough to miss lectures once in your university career. Go on, give into your bed.
  • Sleep is a brilliant cure.

So, having gotten a couple of hours shut-eye before watching the Melbourne GP live (yes, I really did set my alarm for 2AM to wake up and watch Formula 1) and quite a few more afterwards, I appear to have come down with yet another dangerous and even more potentially degree-damaging illness – CBA syndrome (that's Can't Be Arsed). I have a 5,000 word report due in on friday which I have yet to even start researching for, and it's now gone 4:30 on Sunday. The thing is, it's a really interesting (to me) subject – piston aero engines. Seriously, that is like a dream essay title to me. And still I can't be bothered – I'm just sat here blogging and whiling away hours playing TA. Hmmmm. Anybody got a cure?

I'd try the threat of "you can't come see me if you don't get it done" but we'd both know that's an idle one.

I'll try to get your hair into a lot of mini-dreads!!!!! There we go… I'll put your hair into mini dreads or tiny tiny tiny braids…. I could do it to, you know.

  2. I have nowhere near enough hair for mini-dreads (thank god!). So you'll have to do better than that :-P

No, trust me. Might not be able to do mini-dreads but I COULD manage mini braids. I'm quite sure of that. lol.

If not.. well.. maybe I'll dye your hair while you are sleeping. Bright pink!

  4. You wouldn't dare! And if you did… well I'd force you into taking a ride somewhere with me driving at my usual breankneck speed until you get really sick. Or something.

Please don't dye my hair pink :-(

  7. Ick no, I could never learn to drink coffee! It is perhaps one of the most foul substances known to man. If I must be full of caffiene, Red Bull or Coke is the answer.

  8. red bull. bleurgh.

hehehe… poor you sucker, IIIIIII don't have coke. Just diet coke!

AND I never go to the place that sells Red Bull, so you will have sobe drinks. They're good too. AND since I know you don't like caffiene I will make you drink some!

Seeing as we head to second cup quite often.

But I don't like hot drinks.. I get the iced ones. lol
