I thought it would never happen

But I've finally started my essay! Yay, go me! I was originally planning to start last night, but Lorna ended up dragging me out for a drink (oh how much effort she had to put into that to persuade me not to work) which was a lot of fun. Currently have 2,100 words and have decided that that's ok for a day's effort. I had wanted to get 3,000 out of the way today, but hey I just couldn't be arsed. I would probably have done it if I hadn't had to take a detour into fixing Ashley's bike – bloody thing. Never mind. I'm going out to The Bar later for some relaxation at George's birthday gathering. Hopefully that'll be fun.

I don't know why but I remain in an irrepressible good mood. But hey, who am I to complain?
