Hurrah for immune systems (at last)

Well I hope I'm not pre-empting things, but yesterday and today I've finally been feeling quite a bit better. I still have a bit of a cough, but apart from that I'm pretty much back to normal yay! I no longer even need to be wrapped in a duvet to stop shivering. Considering I first went down with illness last tuesday, which got progressively worse until by thursday I really shouldn't have gotten out of bed (but went to lectures anyway because I'm that sad), I guess it's about bloody time. Some important things I've learnt:

  • Benylin is absolutely useless.
  • Vicks is a miracle substance, as is Lemsip if you can stand taking it, but really has to be in hot drink and not capsule form.
  • You really can be sick enough to miss lectures once in your university career. Go on, give into your bed.
  • Sleep is a brilliant cure.

So, having gotten a couple of hours shut-eye before watching the Melbourne GP live (yes, I really did set my alarm for 2AM to wake up and watch Formula 1) and quite a few more afterwards, I appear to have come down with yet another dangerous and even more potentially degree-damaging illness – CBA syndrome (that's Can't Be Arsed). I have a 5,000 word report due in on friday which I have yet to even start researching for, and it's now gone 4:30 on Sunday. The thing is, it's a really interesting (to me) subject – piston aero engines. Seriously, that is like a dream essay title to me. And still I can't be bothered – I'm just sat here blogging and whiling away hours playing TA. Hmmmm. Anybody got a cure?
