Friday group reading on fiction (sources)
Writing about web page http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/arts/history/students/modules/hi398/timetable/seminar12-copy/
For this week please read a crime novel/play/poem/short story. There are some indicative suggestions on the seminar page: http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/arts/history/students/modules/hi398/timetable/seminar12-copy/
However, feel free to choose your own piece.
Could you post the title of what you have chosen onto the blog.
For the seminar you need to create a one page poster (in Word, Powerpoint, Publisher or another package) to sum up your chosen text and what it tells us about aspects of crime and punishment.
For some examples of posters see here: http://www.inspireslearning.com/journal/fit-stick-spread-and-grow-improving-the-organisational-learning-and-design-loop/examples-and-design-ideas-for-academic-posters/
Remember also to bring your practice gobbet answer.

Courts and Sentencing – Thursday group
Writing about web page http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/arts/history/students/modules/hi398/timetable/lawsources/
Could everyone compare and contrast two cases in the Old Bailey (you could look at gender, class, race, different time periods etc, it is up to you to choose the contrast).
In addition, could you look at one of the sources on the seminar page: http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/arts/history/students/modules/hi398/timetable/lawsources/
Remember also to bring your practice gobbet answer.
