Geek Olympics Round 1 – Potathrow

Players:
4 (2 to throw and 2 to dodge)

Aim:
To dodge the potato

Equipment:
Fake Potato (For Extreme Potathrow use a real spud)
Corridor
Understanding or absent housemates

Method:
The 2 throwers stand at either end of the corridor.
The 2 dodgers run around like headless chickens in the middle, and try to dodge the potato that is being thrown by the throwers.
When you get hit, you must obey the following handicaps:
Hit 1 - 1 hand must touch a wall at all times
Hit 2 - 2 hands must touch the same wall at all times
Hit 3 - 1 hand must touch each wall at all times
Hit 4 - As hit 3, but 1 foot must also touch a wall at all times
Hit 5 - YOU LOSE!
Once there is a winner, the throwers and dodgers swap, so you end up with 2 contenders for the final
The game is repeated as a Grand Showdown, which is normally more violent, as the throwers remember one of the dodgers chucking a surprisingly hard potato at them.

Results:
ChrisPy vs Chris - ChrisPy won
Eddie vs JoJo - Eddie won

ChrisPy vs Eddie - ChrisPy won

Conclusions:
Fun game for all the family, apart from those with asthma, those under 5, and those with Potato-Phobia

Jailbreak: The 2006 Award Winning Documentary

Writing about web page http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNEe_pz5DAo

Originally shown on WTV in 2006, the national student award winning documentary, Jailbreak, is coming soon to YouTube. I’m making this move in an attempt to bring my work to a larger audience, you never know someone might enjoy it who doesn’t happen to pass by WTV’s site on a daily basis….

For now enjoy the new trailer and episodes are coming in the next couple of days :)

36 Hours. No Money. No Food. No Transport. One Goal. Hitch for Charity.

Join Alan and Paul as they embark on one of the greatest 36 hour challenges in their life. Follow the journey from start to finish in this compelling documentary series about hitchhiking your way out of the UK for charity. How far will they get?

Jailbreak Episode 1 picked up the award for Best Documentary at the National Student Television Association Awards in Leeds in 2006. Well done to all involved!

The music sampled in this trailer is “We Want Fun” by Andrew WK.

Episodes should start to be uploaded to YouTube during the week beginning 4th/Feb/2006.

Just curious?

WU Front Page, Research

Why does the Demon Headmaster standing in front of a "Beauty and the Beast" poster signify Warwick University research?!

Are there not any pictures of ACTUAL research/experiments/books that could be representing us, rather than what looks like a random caught in the headlights?!

Just wondering…..

Research2

….thats better….
