Hi everyone,
Hope you all had leisurely Christmas holidays and didn't do too much work :) Also, for those of you who had exams today, hope those went well too!
So we have lots of exciting plans for the Classics Society this term, its going to be at least as exciting as last term!
In Week Two, on Friday, we're organising a trip to the Arts Centre to see the WUDS production of Iphigenia in Aulis (which is a Greek Tragedy by Euripides) tickets are £5.50, and it starts promptly at 6pm. If you would like a ticket, then you need to catch an exec member in a lecture you have with them, and give them your name and the money for the ticket. We are paying for the tickets on Tuesday Afternoon, so all monies must be paid before this. If you aren't sure whether there is an exec member in any of your lectures then email us, and we'll either arrange to meet you, or tell you exactly who the right people are!
As a reminder exec-ers are (in no particular order): Eleanor, Lorna, Olly, Rachel(Evans), Eli, Kate(Hunt), Alison, Jess, Catherine(Parry) and Chantal. And we are variously to be found in all modules except Greek/Roman Culture&Society, Intro to Gk&Rmn History, Greek Language and Literature and Latin Literary Texts. Hope that helps.
It should be a great production, and whilst its not on the syllabus for Greek tragedy this year, its still a great opportunity to see a tragedy on stage – whether or not you are taking that module!
As always if you have any queries then email back to this address or my own one ( e.o-donnell@warwick.ac.uk ) and I'll try my best to help you out.
