Maths Results

WOOHOO! Look who got 60%!! Minimum pass marks, I know, but it means I got full marks on the 3 questions I attempted! OK. Now to pass a test that includes differentiation. Hmmmm….. the future looks not so bright, methinks…..

  2. Great! What mark did you get?! And have you got AS, A-level, or GCSE maths? I only have GCSE maths, so I'm amazed I passed…..I owe a thanks to Penny for helping me to understand most of it!

  3. I scraped a 6 :D I was convinced two of the questions I got were completely wrong though. I only have GCSE so I am very happy too!

  4. many people passed. i think more than stefan expected.

while drunkenly talking to him once, he said he expected about half to pass and half to fail.

from the results i saw, we've done well.

  5. That's good. It'll give everyone who finds maths difficult a boost if they pass the test. I know it's made me think I'm not as thick as I first thought!

  6. Well done, I aint been bothered yet to go check my score, but I imagine itll be closer to zero than 6…..oh well :)

  7. Ha ha! Have a little faith in yourself! I was convinced I'd failed, and I passed. But if you don't pass it isn't the end of the world. Maths is so fucking hard. Plus there are re-takes…..bless the re-takes!!

  8. Yup :) god bless retakes indeed – otherwise I'd be screwed…..:p

  9. Others of us have had it confirmed…we are actually as thick as we thought!

  10. Stefan Bon

julie and charlotte! congrats! great job! and roger…didnt know you took things from such a dark side! take it positive…haha have a look on floor 4 i would say. And matthew….indeed i am very pleased with the results of the entire class. The 50–50 score was my initial guess…not because of the difficulty of the maths, but simply because it was the first real examtest you all had. And for the people who did not pass. We will do everything we can to help! Got some ideas for the lectures and the workshop, which we will discuss on monday.

  11. Moment of despair and 'what am I doing here' over. I thought things through etc. The maximum i could have got was six due to not doing two questions. So I got 50%. Hopefully with some serious 'head in book' ness itll be all well and happy. I understood more and attempted more than I thought I would be able to do so thats good.

  12. Considering it's been an uphill struggle (for all those who haven't got A-level maths), 50% in the questions you attempted shows that you have, at least, understood the concepts. Now you just have to build on them. It isn't a bad mark. Just look at it as an indicator of what you do and don't understand.

Glad your moment of despair is over! : )
