The Novel and its Borders

The Novel and its Borders

"The Novel and its Borders" Conference is taking place from the 8th-10th July at the University of Aberdeen. My paper, entitled "The Space of the Journey", will consider the borders and boundaries that are involved in the construction of places and spaces, positing the journey in the Victorian novel as a potential medium for transgressing, and re-theorising, the binary oppositions that shape spatial theory. Details of the parallel sessions have yet to be added, but I'm already excited about the plenary speakers that have been announced. Registration is open until 1st March.
