Green green grass
Writing about web page http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/6687089.stm
I think Trafalgar Square looks much better covered in grass, but I wonder how long it will be before someone’s dog leaves a massive steaming heap of turd and the owner neglects to clean it up?

School days… the real ones, not the drunken night out.
I went home these past few days as it was my little brothers birthday, and much cider and beer drinking was needed as a result.
Whilst not drinking or eating I sorted through some old school books and paper from primary school, and I found that almost every planned story I wrote involved either witches or shrinking, or in one particualarly creative occasion I combined the two.
Speaking to friends it seemed that shrinking was the subject of some of their stories too, or meeting a dog.
I just wondered wether there was some popular book around at the time that inspired the creative talents of a young generation?
The witch influence definitely came from books. The Colin and Jackie Hawkins books in particular. I loved them. Monsters, Witches, Vampires and Pirates. And I always felt safe on the family visit to Irealnd because according to the Vampires book, the Irish Vampires didn’t drink blood, but ate shamrock.

Shopping and craveing
Yesterday we went for lunch and then went shopping. And it is true that when you go shopping on a full stomach you don't crave all the junk food because you just don't feel like eating it.
However I found myself being drawn to homeware shelves and found myself reasoning the possibilities of a loaf–tin… I have NEVER cooked bread before EVER, but was thinking about buying a loaftin… it may have been the alcohol consumed previously, but I thought it was weird.

More Shuffle
Writing about Shuffle from Dreams of Karl-ifornication
I saw this in blog enteries and because it's sunday and I should be doing research… I'll do this instead. I'm listening to it anyway:
Go to your music player, set it to shuffle/random, and answer the
following questions with the title of the FIRST song that you skip
to each time.
If you reached the top of Mount Everest, you would scream:
Boys and Girls
The next time you stand up in front of a group of people, you'll say:
Throw Away Your Television
Your favorite thing to say when drunk is:
Live and Let Die
Your message to the world:
Feel Good Hit Of The Summer
Your deepest secret:
Seems Fine
Your innermost desire:
Passive Manipulation
Your oldest memory makes you think:
Christopher Columbus
Somewhere in your wedding vows, you'll include:
Time is Running Out
On your deathbed, you'll whisper:
Nowhere
Your friends say behind your back:
Dancing In The Moonlight
You say behind your friends' back:
Not Now
Your opinion of MySpace:
Summer in the City
When you wake up in the morning, you mutter:
When the Leaves Come Falling Down
If you found yourself lost on a desert island, you'd yell:
Debora
Right now, your feelings are:
In These Shoes?
What's your excuse for reposting this bulletin?:
Elusive Butterfly
Your life's soundtrack:
Fairytale of NewYork

Past, present and future
Sat here doing my revision. There is no obvious sound of traffic, I hear this noise that sounds really familiar and a birdy cheeping away and it reminds me of being in Carraroe, seeing the boats go out to the Aran Islands. Cos thats what the noise was. It sounded like the boat engine… but then it came back to me that I have 2 exams tomorrow and I don't have time for fanciful nostalgia.
Have also worked out what I am good at. I can take really complex systems and bring them down to their fundamentals, so the complex idea is something really simple and basic, with very little detail at all… however, I can't do the reverse.
Anyway back to stinky pants revision. This crap will at least be over by Tuesday afternoon. Thank Feck.

Rickets, pasta and DVT
I think I need to leave the house today and get some vitamin D before I get rickets, having not really been outside for a sufficient amount of time over the past two weeks.
Also need to buy some fresh fruit. Dad made me a giant batch of pasta sauce to bring back so I didn't have to spend lots of time cooking while the exams are on, it's really nice but it is all I've eaten for the past 4 days, so while I'm out getting some sun I can get some fruit and stuff too.
Also I'm looking pale and drained. I never look pale. I always have rosy cheeks, and look young enough to be ID'd damn it, even when I'm ill I have rosy cheeks and no one beleives that I'm ill. Getting some exercise should sort that.
The exercise should also decrese the risk of DVT. Afterall sitting in one place for most of the day isn't great for your circulation.
Can't wait till these exams are over… and I've done the science communication work… and the labs are out of the way… and the project is all typed up and handed in… only 7 weeks to go.
Gah.

Boats
I dunno which boat to get…big and slow that will definitely sail (so long as the company don't try to replace the whole current crew with new cheaper labour, which the current crew didn't know about, and the current crew officers don't barricade themselves in the control room) despite the very, very windy weather we've had…
…or the fast boats which might sail in the wind but then if they do… boat goes up, can see all sky out the window… boat goes down, can see all sea out the window… ok if you're on deck, but inside my stomach doesn't like it.
Either way I will hopefully get there and have a lovely time doing less revision than I am now.

Sneezy bowling
Went bowling last night… I'm so incredably bad at it.
I can't stop sneezing. I quite like the afterness of sneezing. But the sneezing comes with snotty nose and watery eyes.
Today is my last day of lectures. Just sort of blah.
