Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I'll hate it tomorrow…

Whatever happens, what ever the outcome… it won't matter because of this:
and I'll get to do flower arrangeing which was my back up plan if the A–levels got bolloxed… if they'll have me!

Follow-up to The end is nigh… or possibly has already gone from not a scientist

Gah! It's nine o'clock tomorrow morning. I thought mine would be today, but they are doing all the special people first.

Damn you biological sciences! DAMN YOU!

The end is nigh… or possibly has already gone

I find out tomorrow if I get VIVA–ed or not. If I do then my degree will be over tomorrow. No more work at Warwick. If not then I finished almost two weeks ago. Woot!

…either way I didn't bother my arse enough to care for the past three years. So…yes.

From 3 years I can say:
I like the environmental side of biology.
I like the health–related topics of biology.
Ilike big biology. Big systems.
I don't like genes… which has sort of been fundamental to the past three years, and is essential to almost all biological systems. Oh well.
I like learning.
I like finding out things and passing on that information to other people.
I like outdoor biology.

I think I should have done a different course. An environmental–health course perhaps…

Bugs, germs and microbes

Rickets, pasta and DVT

I think I need to leave the house today and get some vitamin D before I get rickets, having not really been outside for a sufficient amount of time over the past two weeks.

Also need to buy some fresh fruit. Dad made me a giant batch of pasta sauce to bring back so I didn't have to spend lots of time cooking while the exams are on, it's really nice but it is all I've eaten for the past 4 days, so while I'm out getting some sun I can get some fruit and stuff too.

Also I'm looking pale and drained. I never look pale. I always have rosy cheeks, and look young enough to be ID'd damn it, even when I'm ill I have rosy cheeks and no one beleives that I'm ill. Getting some exercise should sort that.

The exercise should also decrese the risk of DVT. Afterall sitting in one place for most of the day isn't great for your circulation.

Can't wait till these exams are over… and I've done the science communication work… and the labs are out of the way… and the project is all typed up and handed in… only 7 weeks to go.

Food for the journey

Running through Dublin we grabbed some sandwiches for the journey back… should have looked closer… it was supposed to be a "cheese, leek and onion" sandwich and I ate some…

… but it turned out however, it was a butter and cheese sandwhich…very buttery… with no leek and little onion… and it got to a point, you know that point, where if you eat anymore the gag reflex will return the food you're attempting to consume. So I stopped and took the picture.

Ireland was good. In one day we saw most of "da familee". Had one day where I only drank cider and got a suitable headache because of it. One day travelling on the fucked up DART then getting lost in Wicklow hills. One day watching TV, eating shite food, drinking alcohol and playing Buzz. Steal my points will ya, ya bastards?

Was good to be there but should have done more work.

Presentaion reeks of crap

Hmmm, so on a scale of 1 to shit, my presentation is probably up there as a honking great pile of turd.

Currently what is most worrying is the complete lack of understanding I have on the subject, so that when it comes to the questions I'm just going to zone out and stare blankly at the person asking the question, whilst my brain plays elevator music in my head… for 5 minutes until I can sit down and stop being ridiculed.

At least I'm first, so no comparrisons makes it look a bit less shite… but… argh! I'm first!

I'll just arm myself with the pointing stick and see what happens…

Sneezy bowling

Went bowling last night… I'm so incredably bad at it.

I can't stop sneezing. I quite like the afterness of sneezing. But the sneezing comes with snotty nose and watery eyes.

Today is my last day of lectures. Just sort of blah.

Itís here again. I knew it would be. I donít know when it will go away, it never really leaves. It makes things worse for everyone when itís here. I want it to go… so now to try and do something about it.
