Tofu… can you help?

Ok just cooked Tofu for the first time ever… and eating it wasn't one of the nicest experiances… it just sort of tastes of nothing and is squidgey.

Does anyone know how to make it a bit more palatable?

I suppose I could just not eat it…

  1. I abhor the stuff, but my veggie sister cooks it with a world of peppers and stir-fry stuff then adds soy sauce.

    Better still: just don't eat it!

  2. Never tried it, but have heard that it absorbs the flavour of the sauce in which it is cooked, so loads of soy, spices and herbs might make it palatable

    Sauce and flavours is the way to go, indeed. To improve the texture you can cut it quite small and fry the crap out of it! i actually really enjoy it when it's cooked well, and I'm not even a crazy veggie. : )
