I saw a pigeon with reeeeeally short legs today. Just thought I’d mention it.

Oh, I have a far worse pigeon story. Iiiii bitterly bitterly hate pigeons. I went home the weekend, for the first time in 4 weeks, and on Saturday, my mum noticed some flies buzzing around the gutter above the back door. I was sent up a ladder to investigate, and, there was this fecking pigeon – feet in the air, maggots crawling everywhere, utterly dead, infested with flies – which of course all buzzed everywhere in my face. It was the single worst moment of my entire life – and that includes the repeated rank tea towel discoveries and the day that it snowed in Leamington while we were house hunting!
I even had to retrieve it by scooping it up with a shovel and the bastard thing just kept sliding along the gutter…hahaha, I’m laughing lots now, but boy it wasn’t funny at the time. Oh, pigeons!! I hate them so!
I think this is worthy of a blog entry in itself.

I have a rotting animal story to chip in at this point. My uncle had some fields which he let sheep roam free on. One day he discovered a dead ewe in the long grass; not wanting the thing to rot away there he grabbed his 4×4 and chained the legs up to the towbar to drag it out of the field. All went well until he got to the gate and noticed that there were just the four legs attached to the chains; the sheep was actually rather more dead than he had realised and hadn’t budged an inch. 0_o

Both of those stories are quite disgusting… and I like that in a blog. That pigeon must have absolutely stank.
I saw a pigeon sort of explode once. Well, the chances are it didn’t actually explode, but the feathers flying everywhere gave the illusion of some sort of BANG! It was on a school trip, going along a motorway/dual carriageway and a pigeon flew out of the bushes/trees and smacked right into the front left corner of the coach, I’m pretty sure it’s head came past the window separate from its body…
