Being outside today makes me happy. It's cold, but if you put on a few layers and maybe a scarf you'll be ok, and its sunny. Bright, bright sunshine. It makes me instantly smile… then if I walk past the canal you see lots of ducks and ducks also make me smile… I mean come on… they're hilarious!

  3. Move over Tommy Cooper, Norman Wisdom – all the legends of natural comedy – ducks really have it nailed.

God I love them so! The time the other week I watched a sleeping duck, head tucked into its body, oblivious to the danger above. A falling twig rudely assaulted it….and the poor duck just did not know what had happened. He (or she) had a quick look around, almost as if to see if anyone else had seen, then quickly returned to slumber.

I could have cried with laughter.
