I stole this!

Hehe, I decided to do the quiz thing from Eimer's blog, but for some reason had to select the whole thing to copy the questions over! Wierd, huh? But yeah, I'm thinking of inventing my own version of one of these, but thought I'd do some more research first. And yes I have done work today! I've read through the Y2 handbook (which only arrived about 4 weeks ago) to see just how scarily little time I actually have to fix things but that I am actually on target for my year. Horray!

Claire Margaret Bowden.

4.What does your name mean?
erm…I don't know…hang on…
Claire is Latin and means bright and clear…
Margaret from the Persian means child of light, from Greek it means Pearl, and from Shakespeare "Henry VI part 2", wife to Henry the VI. (I don't like the last one-the histories are bloomin' boring!)
And Bowden was Anglo-Saxon meaning messanger. I didn't expect to find "Bowden" on link (the first google result for "meanings of names" but, there you go! I'd always hoped it was Celtic…)
So anyway, Clearly lit messanger. With a pearl.

5.Who picked out your name?
Mum probably. The middle name runs in the family, Nan's first name to mum's middle to me. My brother got Patrick from my Dad!

6.What's your nickname?
Don't really have one…used to be Bowdy, in fact more people called me that than Claire.
Some have used "Clairey", and others including my wonderous PSHE teacher and recently Carter have taken to using "Bowden". Not very good, are they?!

8.What colour are your eyes?
Brown, but sometimes green. I don't know if it's mood/diet/what but it happens.

innie! (didn't have to edit that one!)

my patent cherry-reds are 6, my blacks are 7 and my elf boots are eight, to be worn with thick socks!

I don't know, Eimer, I just don't know.

5'8? I actually have no idea.

That other people like me. There must be some good in there somewhere if they do!

my cooking usually goes down well.

we don't really get together. I guess closest to it was last summer at my Nan's 80th. We visit the Falmouth side about twice a year.

My Dad's started swearing more casually as we got older. I just tell everyone the story of him at uni cooking maccaroni cheese in the grill pan and it being so heavy the handle snapped off!

Random turkey and apricot thing I cooked for mum and me. It's really nice…honestly, with salad and pittas and humous. Ok, so it's healthy, stop grimacing like that!!

My non-failure in my course and on my 2 execs

92.What movie do you really want to see?
the new "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"! and there was something else too…can't remember.

93.Tell us about those scars?
One on my left eyebrow from running around the house, falling over and hitting the skirting board. One on my left shin from doing a cartwheel on our school wall, however the lazy gits only smoothed off one side so when I fell down the back the jagged rocks took a lump out my shin! :-( Iodine patches for weeks. Although they did give me a lollipop!

95.Where is your favourite place to travel?
I loved Prague and Brugge and Florida (contrast, I know!) I really want to go to Japan and probably New Zealand/Australia one day.

96.What did you last dream about?
I can't remember exactly but it was definatly to do with Harry Potter because I was reading it before I went to sleep and it has been my key avoidance tactic so far!!

toast and butter

my Dad. I'm kinda his secretary some times too.

researched festivals for the summer. Can't chance (or technically afford) Glasto' this year, discovered Warwick is £26 NUS and has Kate Rusby and Kieth Donnally involved, so I think I'm there!

hmm…I guess Snowy, cos I still have him. (he's a white puppet-cat who now has hardly any fur, no whiskers and scratched eyes…I loved him so much!)

well, I knew Lucy in Junior school, but Emma's been my friend since Y8 whereas Lucy and I made friends a lot later, so Emma wins!
Although, me and my cousin Sarah have been pretty good friends all our lives, but as we're family she had an unfair advantage!

had a meal with my family, but I had a party at home before, my then boy frined took me out a couple of days later and my Uni friends threw me a surprise party when we were all back! wicked.
