In recent times (actually in the last 6 months) I have been everything but healthy (eating late & no exercise have so far been the order of the day). So I took a leap of faith yesterday and joined the local gym (LA Fitness) here in Oxford with a mate of mine. I must say that it has been at the back of my mind for the past 2 months but the cost was a slight hinderance (about 50 quid a month) but I got this joint membership thingy with a mate of mine for £40.
Thinking about it all its really depressing to think that the issue on getting healthy depended on finances :( But on the otherhand I think the cost was extortionate and tied down to a 12 month contract.
On the lighter side of things anyway, I do hope to take advantage of this gym for two major reasons:
1. Lose weight (especially on my tummy)
2. Keep fit & healthy (get my heart & pulse rate to standard or above average levels)
I'm no longer a high school graduate obsessed with muscle building. I more on the side of getting healthy and looking trim & fit.
I guess my next objective will be to start eating healthy :)
