ii – Time after Time

Chance, I hit upon
A song long forgotten
Or perhaps never really known
Lyric-less but singing
Like arms opened

Hard cities
Harder loves lost
The strange familiar
Look in every colour eye
Shy and yet un-shy

Hanging notes
Dropped to float
Travelling back
To the hand that bites
The heart that feeds it.

  1. Missy, as you missed the exec meeting for the most pathetic reason ever I expect a Harry Potter inspired poem asap as punishment.

  2. this has a very pretty poem. i think the middle stanza spoils its lyrical feel as it's a bit muddled and twists the tongue a bit too much and i'm not a fan of 'ilke arms opened'...feels like it should have another line after it – not a hit of the return key.
