Interesting point! Although, of course, if Newton made notes or kept journals he would have blogged it and then set his permissions to himself alone :)

Galileo would have blogged it and consequently be banned for breaching terms and conditions (thou shalt not blog about the orbits of the heavens).

You're not the first to have spotted this :-).
But, secretive as he was, Newton did keep a fairly substantial diary and private notebooks, so it's conceivable he might have chosen a blog for doing this. Plus it made for some great imagery on the posters :-)
