One–Click–Install improvements

I fixed a few bugs/wishes in the openSUSE “one click install” handler last week.

Amongst potentially interesting changes are

  • Tidied up the UI a little removed the somewhat cryptic “advanced mode” checkbox in favour of an editable proposal, as used elsewhere in YaST.

  • Don’t show this again support for nag warning

Clicking customise gives the equivalent of the old advanced mode

Click here to install on 10.3

  3. There are 10.2 packages of an older version on http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/Tools/openSUSE_10.2/

I have not backported all the bugfixes and new features to this version though, as some of these require new YaST features.

Is this localized to other cultures? “customise” will annoy me – “customize” all the way :)

  7. @Renato What is your use case? This is simply automating the existing package management tools, you can remove software using yast -> software management.

@nt All the strings for YaST things are translated by the openSUSE translation teams, see http://en.opensuse.org/Translation
