Unveiling the beauty of statistics for a fact based world view

The Gapminder software takes raw economic data from sources such as the World Bank, ILO and OECD and converts it into interactive graphs. Through these graphs you can track a trend over time either globally or for a specific country or set of countries. For example, here is a video showing the use of Gapminder to compare the development of health and the economy in the UK and China over the past 200 years.

It is also possible to create your own Gapminder graphs using Google's Motion Chart Gadget. Details of how this can be done are provided in a quick guide on the Gapminder website.
