How to reference financial data
Using the Harvard Style a reference for financial data taken from an electronic resource should follow the format of:
Author (Year of publication or the current year for data that is frequently updated) Descriptive title of the data [online]. Available from: URL or name of database [Accessed: date the data was accessed]
Reference list example: Thomson Reuters (2010) FTSE100 daily price index 2005-2010. Available from: Datastream. [Accessed: 18/11/2010]
In-text example: (Thomson Reuters 2010)

Database trial: PI Navigator
The library has an extended trial to the company and financial database PI Navigator provided by Perfect Information. This database provides filings data for more than 14 million global companies. It includes annual reports, M&A data, IPO and bond prospectuses, and news announcements.

Current members of the University of Warwick can access PI Navigator from the Key Electronic Resources for Business page on the library website. The trial ends on 30/06/11.

New interface for Amadeus and Fame
The Bureau van Dijk databases Amadeus and Fame are updating to a new interface later this week.
From Monday 25th October links to both Amadeus and Fame will automatically direct you to the new interface. Many of the search functions remain the same but the look of the site will change. A database factsheet for Amadeus showing the new interface can be downloaded from this blog post.
If you have any searches or list formats saved on the old version of either database please contact Emma Cragg for help exporting them.
