Accessing Business Insights reports

Business Insights reports are available through Datamonitor 360. They can be accessed in one of two ways:

1. After running a keyword search from the Datamonitor 360 homepage your results will be displayed in a list containing all types of materials available. To limit the results to Business Insights reports only click the 'Reports and Briefs' tab in the top navigation.
   
   

   
   
   

2. From the Datamonitor 360 homepage hover over the 'Publishers' link. A menu will open offering links to content from various publishers. Choose 'Business Insights' from this list.

Datastream Learning Resources

The Thomson Reuters Knowledge Network provides a variety of training materials for users of Datastream.

The on-demand e-tutorials require you to sign up for a free account with Thomson Reuters Customer Zone, but the video tutorials can be viewed online by anyone.

Finding market size data in Passport GMID

To find the market size for a specific industry or industries in Euromonitor's Passport GMID follow the steps below:

• Hover over the orange 'Search' button in the left of the navigation bar and select 'Menu Search'
• Choose an industry from the category tree by checking the box next to it. You can also search for industries using the 'Find Category' box.

• Click 'Next' and then select the relevant geographical location.
• Click 'Run Search' to retrieve results matching your criteria. 
• If market size and company market share data is available it will appear under 'Statistics' in the results list.
• To view an individual report click on the hyperlinked title, or, to view multiple reports tick the boxes next to the reports you want to view and click the 'Build My Selections' button.

Datamonitor 360 – new interface for Business Insights and Marketline

The market research databases Business Insights and Marketline are now provided through a single interface, Datamonitor 360. The combined content of these databases provides access to

• company profiles
  
• country profiles
• market research reports on industries including energy, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and technology
  
• news and analysis on the latest business developments
  

You can now search content from both databases through one simple search box. Or, to search only Business Insights reports select 'Business Insights' from the Publishers menu.

Database trial: PI Navigator

The library has an extended trial to the company and financial database PI Navigator provided by Perfect Information. This database provides filings data for more than 14 million global companies. It includes annual reports, M&A data, IPO and bond prospectuses, and news announcements.
