Elephants eat everything on a tree – from the bark and branches to the twigs and leaves. Apparently the bark contains the minerals they need. I think I remember being told they have multiple stomachs – you’d need them to digest that lot! Talk about five a day!

The black shapes in the trees are baboons preparing for the night (they sleep up there!). This was taken in Lake Nakuru National Park.

There are keepers with the baby elephants 24 hours a day – but they keep swapping them so the elephants don’t get too attached.
