Death To The Beige

Writing about an entry you don't have permission to view

I…Bashmore…pledge my allegiance…to the painful death of the boring fuckers that make up the scum that is Warwick Beige…with death squads led by The Carter

One more crap blog of someone copying and pasting the lyrics from a bloody joss Stone song 'cus they think she's a lyrical genius and they understand her…one more middle of the road comment by someone who cant have a cross opinion without having to put a fucking ":)" at the end to show that they dont really mean to disagree with anyone…and I'll have to kill someone
All the boring bastards who have come to this Uni and become Marks and bloody Spencer's in their outlook…bit well off…scared shitless to have an opinion on anything.

Offend…make controversy…disagree for the love of pete.

Thank fuck people like Carter and Eimear have started the revolution.

Be fucked off at stuff…Don't be a fucking beige about your bloody lifes…
The opionated bastards are starting the fight back

  1. When you can construct an argument that doesn't consist of using profanity for no real purpose then people might listen, until then I suggest you fume quietly on your own

  2. Beige-haters, we have target #1 on radar…

I can see a whole RaW News programme devoted to this very serious issue. We must spread the message of No To Beige! I'm thinking Carter should stand as an MP for the Anti-Beige Party? He has until April 19th!

  3. Two Chris'...one makes a very good point…which I agree whole heartedly with.
The other; Hinds…piss of from my blog, beige boy…I know I should write 15 minute long ramblings that no one could give a toss about…but I'm not up to your standard yet

  4. By the very nature of a public blog you expose yourself to public comment, and I do not particularly mind whether you think my entries are rambling. It's rather arrogant to assume that your entries are more interesting than mine though. I am in fact all in favour of people having opinions and expressing themselves, but expressing yourself as an articulate person is likely to win you more support than a rant punctuated with profanity.

  5. I'm going to defend Ben, cos I feel like it. Public blogs mean that people can express their argument howsoever they wish.

Also just cos someone punctuates an opinion with expletives doesn't necessarily make them inarticulate, it can also make them passionate about their argument.

And along the veins of Carter's statement that you should be able to accept and admit what you are, I'm sure Ben wouldn't disagree that he is arrogant or opinionated, however people in general aren't one sided and you're seeing what you want to see.

  6. Please play more Ordinary Boys at crash, I mean Talk, Talk, Talk, Over the Counter Culture and The list goes on, in fact the whole damn album, pretty much sum up what you're saying surely?! Pleeeaaassseeee

  7. I must also disagree with Mr Hinds on this issue. By his demonstration of his incredible command of the english language, combined with such well-argued, logically structured and justified arguments for his proposed cull of all that is beige, Mr Ashmore has clearly demonstrated what a valid point of view he holds, and that anyone worth their salt should immediately hail with him to Carter's call to arms.

Who says I don't have a sense of humour eh?

On a more serious note, why does one have to be so offensive, controversial and "fucked off" to quote your post? I happen to be exceptionally passionate on the things close to my heart. I also hold opinions that are viewed by many as controversial. Just because I choose to argue with people in a reasoned fashion, with a full vocabulary, and that many of my tastes are more refined and in some cases "middle of the road" than you uncouth imbeciles with language that would repulse the average navvie, doesn't make me a less worthy person. In fact, I'd argue it the other way around. Yet apparently I'm the beigest person on campus. I personally find the logic in this argument deeply flawed.

And Miss Singh, the use of expletives to express emotion more vividly is not inarticulate. Mr Ashmore has slipped a long way from this into downright laziness in this post, as he quite blatantly can't be bothered to use language to make a decent and emotive post, so makes up for it by swearing every third word to make it sound aggressive instead. I'd describe that as inarticulate in my book.

  8. Shalinee, I know Carter and I've crossed paths with Ben in the past. Seeing what you want to see yes. But does it not strike you as a little beige to just fall into a pack? Sure a more openly thinking pack than some but still a pack sharing the same common ideal. Personally I have opinons, I visit the theatre, I work on music production in many styles, I like quite a lot of art. I have ideas about what I like and don't like. I like Carters arguments for having opinions they are reasoned, humourous and accurate, not unimaginative and offensive.

  9. Two prime Warwick beigeniks weigh in with sterling posts about how they OBJECT TO EVERYTHING. Genius! GENIUS!!!

    08 Apr 2005, 10:42

  10. - And the best part about it? (Flouncing Warwick voice on):

"Don't swear! It's not nice and is just terribly vulgar!"

    08 Apr 2005, 11:25

  11. That said, Chris Hinds is a nice enough bloke so I'll let him off.

    08 Apr 2005, 11:44

  12. I cross paths with Carter all the time…But i like him and get on with him
I certainly am arrogant and opinionated Shall…but it rocks!
I couldnt be bothered to right some long and articulate piece…I was feeling more along the lines of a primal scream…besides swearing makes me feel big and clever.
Ordinary boys…good call Michael…good band touring round the sunny parts of England this summer with the awesome Subways…check it out!
Back to the beige…meh …that said at least your answering back and standing up for whatever beigness you believe…whatever though you bore me

    08 Apr 2005, 12:51

  13. Haaang on a minute, has your blog ironically changed back to the colour it was before?

Also you other two, oo I'm not accustomed to being addressed so formally, please, call me Shall.

    08 Apr 2005, 13:10

  14. Carter is a fucking tosspiece

    get me, so not beige.

unless being not beige is all about agreeing with carter? ooh i'm in trouble

    12 Apr 2005, 20:59

  15. Is there some secret sexual tension between Carter and you Heather, that you've both kept very very secret? Or do you actually dislike him that much?!

    12 Apr 2005, 21:04

  16. Only on his part ;) and yes I do dislike him that much

    13 Apr 2005, 15:57

  17. 'carter is a fucking tosspiece'?!
oh dear, oh dear! what has happened to warwick blogs!

    13 Apr 2005, 18:03

  18. It's funny that you'd call Chris Hinds a beige boy. I've met him. He's caucasian.

I don't know what's funnier – the foolishness of Joss Stone lovers, or the extraordinarily overly-reactionary response made by the Crew Carter Clan to their existence. Bottom line – who gives a shit? My government will be taking out the chavs and the Royal family way before we move on to the beige. Next up will be the pretentious people, so you'd best be prepared.

    25 May 2005, 13:31

  19. I understand your pain Jimbo…but if you're really concerned, i'll put in a good word to Carter about you…and you never know he might let you into the "Crew Carter Clan"... if you're lucky

    26 May 2005, 11:50

  20. I want to join, God knows I do, I feel so … inadequate without it. I suppose my 2-inch penis doesn't help. I was under the illusion that you were pretentious and ignorant. Now that I am aware that you are an elitist, I would like to extend an offer to join the Supreme Elite Team Of Better Beings. We mostly just spit at poor people.

    26 May 2005, 12:45

  21. oh god…
hughes, what are you talking about? give it a rest.

    26 May 2005, 13:13

  22. Ben?? Elitist??? Pretentious???? That's possibly one of the most hilarious things I've heard ALL YEAR. Mr Hughes, you should meet this man before you make such amusing judgements on someone.

    26 May 2005, 13:49

  23. Brilliant Jimbo…I've never been called an elitist before. You must have hit the nail on the head. Please stop with the hilarious irony and wit, i just don't know how much more my sides can take.
You sir are a comedy legend, if slightly more obsessed with Carter than i must be…god damn you

    26 May 2005, 14:28

  24. I was being serious :-( … I can only assume you've never had the pleasure of reading my blog before.
