It is the only word to describe how well the E-Business conference went. Delegates, exhibitors and presenters shared in the real excitement that the event engendered. The B2B team were delighted by the stream of positive comments, about the organisation, about the venue and , most of all, about the quality of the presenters.
I would, therefore, like to repeat my thanks to Michael Smith of Firebox (and MindCandy), Dave Chaffey of Marketing Insights, Penny Power of Ecademy, Kate Legg of Higgs and Sons, Mike Auty of the University's Digital Lab and our very own Steve Orriss and James Pennington. By the way we have set up a presentation download page on our website so you can check out some of the presentation material.
Taking a step back, the purpose of the conference was to foster a sense of the "can do" to small businesses around the region. We work with lots of companies like yourselves and we desparately want you to succeed. Both Michael Smith and Penny Power painted a visionary picture of what success looked like whilst highlighting the realities of the bumps that you might get along the way. Our other presenters and workshop hosts highlighted a variety of practical steps that you can all follow to make your business work and protect you against some of the vagaries of the marketplace.
So now it depends on you to take on board both the strategic and the hand-on lessons and achieve that position of advantage that we talked about. Remember that the B2B Centre is here to help as much as possible. You know by now that our website has valuable tools and articles that can help and we will continue to run events to keep you posted on key topics and help you meet customers and business partners.
