Outdoor Screening of Kung Fu Panda
- Kung Fu Panda
The University of Warwick Students’ Union Film Society presented a free outdoor screening of Kung Fu Panda as their last film for Summer Term 2013 on Wednesday 26 June 2013. It has been over four months since I saw a film from Warwick Student Cinema. I went with my friends to Tocil Field where we arrived at nine for the barbecue and picnic.
Kung Fu Panda is a CGI action comedy movie about a clumsy and comical panda named Po who has a hidden talent for martial arts and is chosen to be the Dragon Warrior instead of one of the Furious Five. I felt that the fight scenes were great to watch, the training with Master Shifu was in particular hilarious. While training, Shifu’s former student Tai Lung escapes his prison. Unsurprisingly Po beats him when he realises he did not need any secret techniques to be the Dragon Warrior. I felt that the plot was predictable and there were no surprising twists. Kung Fu Panda is a film more suitable for old children, young teenagers. In spite of that, if I get the chance to see the sequel Kung Fu Panda 2 for free, I will probability watch it.
