A poem for the tree

*Ποίημα για το δέντρο*

Ξύπνησα και βρέθηκα πάνω σ’ ένα δέντρο
Έκανε κρύο και τα κλαδιά του ξηρά απόγυμνα
έπεφταν σκληρά στο απροετοίμαστο κορμί.
Ο αέρας ωστόσο λιγοστός λίκνιζε το κρεβάτι μου

στους ρυθμούς ενός κυριακάτικου φθινοπωρινού ξημερώματος.

Μα καλά, πως βρέθηκα εδώ πάνω;
Βοήθεια υπάρχει κανείς;
Εγώ σε έφερα, ψέλλισε το αεράκι στα αυτιά μου
Το δέντρο σε χρειάζεται, είναι ανάγκη.
Οι άνθρωποι όπου να ναι φτάνουν.

Ποιος φτάνει; Και τι σχέση έχω εγώ με τους ανθρώπους
Εγώ τους μισώ. Δεν έκαναν ποτέ κάτι καλό.
Εγώ το μόνο που θέλω από αυτούς είναι την ησυχία μου.
Το αεράκι σφύριξε πιο δυνατά. Το δένδρο σε χρειάζεται,
Οι άνθρωποι θα το ρίξουν. Είναι στο δρόμο τους.

Και τι να κάνω εγώ πώς να τα βγάλω πέρα μόνος μου;
Να κανείς σύναξη, να τους καλέσεις όλους. Μόνο εσύ μπορείς
Εσύ είσαι ο αρχηγός. Ενωμένοι θα νικήσουμε.
Οι άνθρωποι θα φύγουν, και θα βρεις την ησυχία σου.
Τότε το δένδρο θα σωθεί και θα γίνει το σπίτι σου

Και καθώς το φως του ηλίου αρχίζει να απλώνεται σιγά-σιγά .
Απλώνω τα φτερά μου και ανοίγομαι στον ουρανό
Το αεράκι να με κρατάει συντροφιά και να μου δίνει ταχύτητα.
Πίσω από το βουνό βρίσκω τους συντρόφους μου
και τους καλώ για σύναξη. Πρέπει να σώσουμε το δέντρο.
Πρέπει να επιτεθούμε στους ανθρώπους.

Σε λίγη ώρα το δέντρο γεμίζει και περιμένουμε.
Οι άνθρωποι φτάνουν τα τσεκούρια λαμποκοπούν στο φως.
Είμαστε έτοιμοι; Μόλις ζυγώσουν ,ορμάμε. Έτοιμοι φωνάζουν όλοι
Ακούγεται ένας χτύπος και το δέντρο τραντάζεται
Μια κραυγή σχίζει τον αέρα και την ακολουθούν χιλιάδες άλλες.

Οι άνθρωποι το βαλαν στα πόδια το δέντρο σώθηκε
Οι φίλοι μου φεύγουν . Εγώ έχω να συγυρίσω το νέο μου σπίτι
Οι άνθρωποι είναι φοβητσιάρηδες και δεν θα τολμήσουν να ξαναέρθουν
Το δένδρο θα μείνει εδώ για πολλά ακόμα χρόνια .
Στα κλαδιά του γράφτηκε ιστορία Η πρώτη μάχη των πουλιών.

It is the shadow theatre of Greece.Trully unique in its nature has managed to entertain generations and generations. There are not a lot of players left today(about seven) but many people and the Greek state do whatever possible to maintain this dying art which combines the cultural and traditional values of Greece from 1860s and onwards.

Just relax make a drink, light a cigar or perhaps lie next to your girlfriend and make love. That is the simplicity of Cuban music. A very good album wich always reminds me of summer and exotic adventures. A must have collection of songs of Afro-cuban origin performed by world-class cuban musicians.

The artistic career of Arkás is an excellent argument for those who believe that what is important in art is the work itself and not the promotion of the artist as a person.His refusal to give newspaper interviews, to appear on television or to take part in anything that could be called publicity marketing has led to the creation of a myth around his name. Twenty years have gone by since the publication of his first comic-strips – the legendary Rooster – by the Greek comics magazine Babel, and his identity is still a mystery. His appearance was a minor revolution in the Greek domestic landscape, since he was immediately and universally received with great enthusiasm. His characteristic style of speech and image was so mature and well-designed right from his first publication that the general public had the impression that this was not a new young artist but an acclaimed master who was publishing under a pseudonym! Thanks to his unique humor with its heretical, sarcastic perceptiveness, his career has constantly been expanding through all these years. His comic books have been selling in impressively high numbers and are continuously being republished, very quickly breaking through the Greek borders with great resonance throughout Europe.
The secret of his success lies in his thoroughly international humor.
His characters “speak“ German and Norwegian just as well as Greek, since the dialogues and the situations described have the timeless universal spirit of all comics which over the years have become classics.
Nowadays, after having successfully created a whole galaxy of never repetitive, always new thematic series, this “mysterious“ author is a master of sarcasm and of the unexpected. And, most importantly, his name stands for the rich work of an artist who, unimpaired by the damage publicity and vanity can cause, remains so fresh and young that the “Arkás phenomenon“ is able to express the mood of today’s ever-restless youth as much as it did of those who became his first keen admirers one or two decades ago. Very good song

Very good tune from this band. Really makes a difference. I think that the singer is half greek.
