Yes you can make your own yoghurt. It is an old recipee which I found over the internet (in Greek). You are going to need milk and yoghurt to make it ( You need some yoghurt to use it as a base for making more, kind of like making glass) Choose bio yoghurt with all the fat, preferably greek. Now head for the kitchen.
Now put about 1 1/2 pints or a littre of milk in a pot and put it on the heat until it starts to boil. Don't let it boil properly. Remove it from heat and let it cool until it is about 45 C. You can use your finger to check that. Come on put your little dirty nose digger in the pot and count for about ten seconds.if it doesn't hurt then it is ready for the next step.
Now put two full spoons of greek yoghurt in the pot and start mixing with a shaker. Now put the mix in a clay pot (or a pyrex if you have) and place it in a preheated oven for about 2.5 hours at 50 C
Take it out and put it straight into the fridge where you let it set for about 24 hours. Don't move it or shake it ,it is still fragile. It will be ready to eat and stay fresh inside the fridge for about ten days.
Bon Appetit alors.
