The leadership challenge exercise a good simulation of stress on leaders and followers. I learned that when stress and disappointment starts to appear on the leader the followers stress and worry increases exponentially.
The improtance of learning in this task is embeded in the leader's capabilities to have the process under control, reassure his team and most importantly to be able to have a plan in reacting for worse case scenarios.
This can be related strongly in my working environment. In a maintenance work place faults are likely to be faced. It is important for the leader to take control of the situation. My role as a follower is to support the leader to lower the stress levels and help him make more focused decisions to tackle the troubl3shooting task more effectively.
