Book review

Title:
Rating:
4 out of 5 stars

This is a really good book! Although it might be a little bit overexaggerated or unrealistic at times, you cannot lay it back until you've finnished reading it… That's actually the biggest problem – you should bring enough time with you, i.e. más o menos two or three days… during this time you won't be able to do many other things!

The only two things I did not like:
1. The only German appearing in this book is a fat and ugly man hanging around with a prostitute… Nice image of the Germans…
2. The description of the Giralda tower in Sevilla is wrong – there are no stairs in this tower, only ramps

However, it is really worth reading it!!

First typical English day…

Today, we had our first typical English day – cloudy wheather and rain from 4 to 11… Nevertheless, it wasn't too bad. I had no class today (same as tomorrow, btw), and therefore could concentrate on doing other things, for example shopping or collecting signatures from my lecturers. Yeah, that's right! I have to run from prof to prof just to make them sign my "Module selection form"... little bit annoying, because it doesn't make sense. However, I collected ONE signature – seven to go…
Yesterday, I had my first class – it was OK, although I do not know much more about the topic than I had known before… it was mainly introduction and video-watching (interesting, though). I think it's not getting too hard, but you never know…
It was also the second day that I was running in the morning! I am really proud of me… ;-) I am planning to join the sports union and do some squash. Would be fun.
I am looking forward to seeing more comments! Thanx for the ones you wrote up to now!

Flop Banana

That is meant to be the coolest party of the week – "Top Banana". To be honest, I've got no idea, how it really is/was, because the queue was just toooooo looooong. You would have been waiting for hours! That's just crazy.. However, I had a nice time with my friends at Rootes Social Bar. The rest of the day was pretty easy – ich hatte noch keine Kurse und hab mich hauptsächlich damit beschäftigt, Formulare auszufüllen, im Internet zu surfen, die library anzuschauen und mein Buch zu lesen. We'll see what tomorrow brings…

Birmingham

Ein sehr schönes WE in Birmingham liegt hinter mir.

Welcome to my blog!

So, I've finally done it – I have my own blog.
Although I'm very tired after a long day and a short party (I am not the party-guy, as most of you know), I am trying to start the first entry of my new blog here at Warwick.
Until now I really like my stay. I had some very nice days, well-organised, informing, interesting. Today, I got to know how the choice of modules (the lectures and seminars I will have to attend) works: I will have to pick them, talk with the module tutor and my personal tutor (who is a professor that I will meet on Tuesday) and hand in some forms. Sounds as if it was some work… and I figure, it will be wearisome…
Nevertheless, I am looking forward to the start of the term! More than that, however, I am looking forward to seeing Silvi tomorrow.
Goodnight to everyone…
