Primary School Afternoon or Why They Should Never Grow Up

The primary school afternoon went fantastically well. There is always room for improvement of course, but really I could hardly have made it any better. And guess what made it happen? That is correct, I am talking about a well-prepared lesson plan.

I had prepared a lesson on animals, in Spanish. I set up very basic linguistic objectives: a list of ten animal names. To support my lesson and bring some fun I had made flashcards and prepared a PowerPoint game of 'What's missing?' The children loved it! I was so pleased to see them all engaged, eager to answer!

  1. I’m delighted it went so well Alex. You have clearly thought about the reasons it went well i.e. clear objectives, visuals (to avoid the use of English?) and a game to keep them excited and engaged.
