Wehey, Websites and Warwick
Wehey! I'm sooo happy!!!!!!!
All my problems over the weekend with National and Warwick Revelation websites have now been resolved. I have never been so happy to get a text than the one I got over lunch from Tony to announce the happy news :D I'm also pleased to say that, thankfully, neither problem was down to me and it was just coincidence that I happened to be working on the websites at the time they decided to disappear!
On the topic of websites...I'm trying to get all the Skills-related websites updated for the start of term, but the Warwick intranet is intermittently cutting out. Is this just for me or are some other people getting that problem too?

it's all been a bit flaky today.

DNS blew up this morning, but as far as I know everything should have been OK this afternoon – at least, the server monitors didn't pick up anything odd. What do you mean by 'cutting out' – were you getting an error message, or just pages that were very slow to show up?

Sorry By 'cutting out' I meant it in the car spluttery engine analogy. i.e. some pages were getting timeout errors, but I knew they'd turn up eventually so kept hitting 'refresh' when pages didn't appear!
Although, if you're asking about Sitebuilder performance – it seems to be crashing Firefox a lot lately (usually 5 / 6 times a day), but I seem to be the only one with any problems :(

Does it crash firefox when you edit pages? If so, make sure you've got an up-to-date firefox and java install. That's usually the problem

It doesn't crash every time I edit a page, but often when I press 'done' it hangs, then Firefox politely apologises for the error and closes. I've got the latest version of Firefox, but have just installed Java update 4 of version 1.5 – I think I previously had update 2. Let's hope it will make a difference!
