Money
OK, I know money is not something that's really discussed on blogs, but I thought I'd try and find out what people's views were, so here's a few questions to get started on:
Spending money
- What do you spend most of your money on?
- What should a student loan be used for?
- Do you spend other people's money differently to your own (i.e if your parents give you money)?
- What do you dislike spending money on?
Having money
- What is the minimum amount of money you could live off, per year?
- Do you wish you had more money?
- If you had more money, what would you do with it?
- What do you hope to earn once you graduate?
Giving money
Do you…
- …give money away regularly?
- …give money to charity?
- …not give money to certain people/causes 'on principle'?
You want answers? Here's answers.
I spend money on food.
A student loan should be used for books and food.
I only have other people's money.
I don't like spending money on frivolous things.
Clubbing is frivolous.
I can get enough food (fruit, veg, soup, bit of meat, some bread) with under 10 quid a week.
I don't wish I had more money right now, but I do wish other people spent less frivolously.
If I had more money I would keep spending wisely. Maybe just visit family more. Family is the thing.
Once I graduate, I hope to earn some self–respect and eventually a good pile of money to be honest. Not for myself, though– for my children. They need art lessons, possibilities and the whole shebang.
I don't like giving money to beggars, just food.
I gave some money to charity but my parents advised me to let them handle the charity and get tax deductions.
There ya go..

I'm just posting 'cos I'm curious to know what other people are going to say and I want this in my 'recent comments' page. But FWIW, I spent my money on rent, food and my car (in about that order).

It can get a bit of a knighmare, but if you budget and stick to it – its fine. Thats the best tip i can offer.
