EFQM Model = EFQM criteria?
I spent the whole day on identifying what actualy EFQM Model is. Because in my PMA I have to use EFQM Excellence Model, so it is important to know what this model suppose.
- Is it the EFQM criteria? Because these 9 criterias are presented and signed in all books as model.
- Is it a Framework? Because EFQM booklet says "The EFQM Excellence Model is a non-prescriptive framework"
- Is it a Fundemental Concept?
- Is it a combination of 9 criteria, RADAR and Fundemental Consept? I found it in Chris Hakes presentation.
First, I think model can't be translated as a criteria. Model should involve some methodology of its implementation. Thus, model = 9 criteria +RADAR. Secondly, it can also involve some principels or in EFQM case it is Fundomental concepts. EFQM model = 9 criteria +RADAR + Fundomental concepts = Framework
And also I have one more quation what the auther means by "The EFQM Excellence Model is a non-prescriptive framework" Does he mean that I can interpretat it as I want OR that this model is not a necessity but a wish?
