Warwick First Friday
In case you’ve forgotten (or perhaps never knew) the University of Warwick ‘hosts’ informal get-togethers at All Bar One wine bars across the country. We hope graduates use these opportunities to get-together on a regular basis. This Friday 3 November, Jono Rawlins and I will be in London at the All Bar One in Leicester Square around 8pm. We hope to meet some of you and to discuss the future of a Young Alumni Programme at the University of Warwick.
If you would like to know more about a Young Alumni Programme and have some input into what it might mean at Warwick, please go to http://www.warwick.ac.uk/go/youngalumni. It would also be helpful if you fill out the questionnaire on the website.
I apologise for the short notice, but I hope some of you can make it to All Bar One. It’d be a good chance to relax after a long work week and meet up with fellow grads. I would very much appreciate your input on the future of Warwick.

Young Alumni Input
Young Alumni are graduates of the last ten years and are unique for several reasons. Their recent graduation often precludes them from university events such as reunions and may isolate young alumni from the university. As graduates, young alumni are just starting out so they are limited in their ability to give back to their university through donations. Also, young alumni, having just left the university, still feel a connection with student life and want to maintain their relationship with the university.
That’s enough of rambling on about research. What we need now is input from our own Young Alumni. What do you want and need from the Warwick Graduates’ Association? What can we do for you? Do you want more events in your area? Do you want more communication via email? Do you want to be involved on alumni committees? Do you want more opportunities to come back to campus?
We feel that designing a Young Alumni Program will benefit not only our alumni, but the university as a whole. However, we can’t do any of it without your input! Tell us everything that’s on your mind: new or old ideas, complaints, compliments, questions, suggestions, etc. We want to hear it all!
