Success in Networking!!

Weave the Warwick Web – Young Alumni Networking was a success! The event took place on 21 March 2007 in London. 30 young alumni attended, and there was an overwhelming positive response. Now that these 30 have gained the confidence to network, hopefully they’ll get out there and network with more young alumni. Look for similar events in the future!

Weave the Warwick Web!

Writing about web page http://www.wgaalumni.co.uk/events.html

The Warwick Graduates Association is pleased to invite you to its first London networking event for Warwick alumni of the last five years.
The cost will only be £10 per person as the event will be subsidised by the WGA. Drinks and canapés will be served.

If you are a novice at networking then there will be a training session beforehand to help you get started. This will be followed by an hour speed-networking session where you will be able to meet other graduates and find out what you have in common and how you can help each other in your careers. Finally, there will also be an opportunity for informal conversation.

The time table will be as follows:

18:30-20:00 How to network. Inter-active session – 30 places only.

20:15-21:15 Fun Speed-networking session – Open to all graduates.

21:15-21:45 Open conversation time.

Make sure you book now to take advantage of this opportunity to meet other young Warwick graduates trying to make their way in the world. If you are new to networking then do book for both sessions. On the other hand, if you are a seasoned net-worker or feel confident already then be sure to come and give others the benefit of your experience and join in at 20:15.

Old Phones and Scholarships

We know you have old mobile phones laying around. We just know it. The WGA recycles old mobile phones and uses the money to go toward the scholarships we offer for incoming students! If you send us a message telling us about your old phone, we’ll send you a freepost envelope so you can send it back. You get rid of an old phone, we get to give out more scholarships. Sounds good, doesn’t it?
