When I first entered my Ph.D. course, a senior student mentioned Endnotes to me and said it was a very helpful software. Later I had chance to learn it and found it was really handy and helpful. Today when I checked a paper I wrote before, I found that Endnotes caused some problems! For example, if one book has two authors, the bibliography which is edited by Endnotes could not give me the full surname for the second author, which is not acceptable in many departments. Not knowing other better ways, I had to put the second writer’s full surname manually, which was a bit annoying.

yes i have not got on very well with endnote either and particulalry annoying was that I was using a later version on one machine which is not available on the IT network here, I guess the key is as always just make sure everything is properly referenced somewhere!
