Group meeting: Boston and Jerusalem
Alright. Markus back from Boston. Talks about synthetic Biology. Prospect to go to Jerusalem in January. Anyway:
Here is the program. .Talks, references to look into:
- John Collins , in particular the paper about Engineered genetic circuits or the doi-link
- Christopher Voigt, also about synthetic biology
- Jeff Tabor of the Ellington lab, on "tuning noise" - not sure what exactly that is
- Steven Strogatz (remember his life-saving book) on Synchronisation of clocks. His homepage. Has worked on clocks with a Mr. Winfree, author of Geometry of biological time.
It seems I need to start looking into Flouquet theory. Though I have to say I first need a better overview about PhD outline before starting do dig more deeply. In particular in the light of the questions earlier. So discuss all this next tuesday with M. and on wednesday with I. – and with D. on thursday…
